A FiveM city’s Discord is the city hall behind the server: it is where people apply for the whitelist, where departments like LSPD and EMS organise, and where staff handle reports and ban appeals. This template sets up each of those with private department categories, a support area that needs clips as evidence, and a status channel for restarts so players are not asking "is the city down?" every morning.

Why it is laid out this way

server-status: Cities restart daily. A read-only status channel with an opt-in Restart Ping answers downtime questions without pinging everyone.
whitelist-applications: A 6-hour slowmode limits each person to one application per session, and reviews happen privately in #application-review. Many cities move this to a form later; the channel works from day one.
Departments: LSPD, EMS and Mechanics each get a private category. Department heads manage their own channels, and civilians cannot read police plans, which protects roleplay.
player-reports: "No clip, no case" saves staff hours. A 5-minute slowmode stops angry players reporting the same incident several times.
Support Waiting Room: Players join this voice channel and wait for support staff to pull them into a private call; staff have Move Members.

Roles and permissions

Roles are listed from highest to lowest. Member and ping roles carry no extra permissions because @everyone already has Discord's defaults. Check any role in the permissions calculator.

Stay in character in the city
Breaking character (FailRP) in game ruins scenes for others. Take OOC issues to #support or a staff member.
No RDM or VDM
Random deathmatch and vehicle deathmatch are banned. Violence needs a roleplay reason and an initiation.
Value your life
Act as if your character’s life matters. Do not fight armed police alone or ignore a weapon pointed at you.
No metagaming or powergaming
Do not use Discord, streams or OOC info in character, and do not force outcomes on other players.
Clip it or it did not happen
Reports need video evidence. Record your sessions; reports without clips are usually closed.
Respect staff decisions
Appeal bans in #ban-appeals with your Discord name and ID. Arguing in public channels extends punishments.
No cheats or exploits
Mod menus, injectors and exploiting bugs are a permanent ban. Report bugs privately in #bug-reports.
Follow Discord and platform rules
Follow the Discord Community Guidelines and the Cfx.re and Rockstar terms for FiveM. Players must be 18 or older.

Pin an application format: age, RP experience, a character backstory and how you would handle a given scenario.
Connect your whitelist to the Whitelisted role with a FiveM Discord-permission script.
Give each department head the ability to manage their category by adding them to the category permissions.
Add Restart Ping to Onboarding.

Moderation and AutoMod

Discord AutoMod rules to turn on

Block keywords for cheat sellers and mod menus ("mod menu", "spoofer", "injector", "cheat discord").
Block invite links everywhere: advertising other cities is the most common rule break.
Block mention spam at 5 unique mentions.
Turn on the commonly flagged words filter in public channels.

How to moderate it

Log every punishment with a clip or screenshot link in #punishment-log so appeals can be judged fairly.
Have a different staff member handle an appeal than the one who issued the ban.
Review whitelist applications in batches on a published schedule.
Remove department roles when someone leaves the department; old roles leak private channels.

Frequently asked questions

How do I link the FiveM whitelist to Discord?+

Use a FiveM resource that checks Discord roles when players connect, and require the Whitelisted role. When an application is accepted, give the role and the player can join.

Can I add more departments?+

Yes. Copy the pattern: a role, and a category private to that role and staff. Common additions are DOJ, a fire department and businesses.

Should applications be in a channel or a form?+

A channel with a pinned format is simplest to start. Larger cities move to a form or a bot so applicants cannot see each other’s answers.

Does this change my FiveM server?+

No. Discrofy only changes your Discord server. Your FiveM server and scripts are untouched.
